The grid mode is an easier way to see multiple images and do basic corrections quickly when working with thousands of images. My goal is to be able to do batch adjustments from the keyboard quickly to multiple images from the library module using the same keyboard shortcuts that work in the develop module. I would like to request that keyboard shortcuts be made available when working in the Lightroom Library Grid mode - instead of having to click with the mouse and go over to the quick develop panel - i would like to be able to use keyboard shortcuts to do batch adjustments to images (such as the one stop of exposure increase, add contrast - basically all the settings in quick develop should be keyboard shortcuts to increase or decrease but able to do so on multiple images selected at once - the way you can from the develop module, except without needed to option click to sync the images.) Assigning single-character keys to functions/commands will also be the case modify keys when typing text. It's quite a lot of work initially, but for Mac users (and graphics tablet users on OS X), it means not having to impatiently wait for Adobe to implement this feature, and therefore enjoying increased ease of working with Lightroom.ĮDIT: Everything I've written is still correct, but there is one small problem. Then, adding this in BetterTouchTool and assigning 'C' to it (but first changing the 'C' shortcut in Lightroom, which is the 'Compare' function, using 'App Shortcuts', to avoid shortcut conflicts). Add the 'App Shortcuts' shortcut and then assign a single-key shortcut to it.įor example, assigning 'Shift+Cmd+Y' to 'Flagged' in 'App Shortcuts' (since you might need P for somthing else). As to the BetterTouchTool, that software offers you the option to create keyboard shortcuts and gestures within the tool that can execute macros to help enhance your user interaction with the computer. The good news: there are a lot of great choices. Doing that allows Word to use that keyboard shortcut. It would be nice if Apple added features like window snapping and keyboard shortcuts for placement, but until that happens, we'll have to rely on third-party applications. It is a powerful tool that can be used to create custom gestures, shortcuts, and automations. Placing and resizing windows is tedious but necessary if you want to work with multiple windows at once, and macOS doesn't offer a lot of ways to make things faster.
